Räddningstjänsten Storgöteborg väljer Celab

Efter en noggrann utvärdering valde Räddningstjänsten Storgöteborg Celab som leverantör av sin RAKEL-utrustning.

Räddningstjänsten Storgöteborg är ett kommunalförbund bestående av Göteborg, Mölndal, Kungsbacka, Härryda, Partille och Lerum. Sammanlagt ansvarar de för brandförsvaret för hundratusentals människor i och omkring Göteborg.

Räddningstjänsten Storgöteborg har sedan början av 2007 utvärderat RAKEL med hänsyn till systemets förmåga att komplettera organisationens tekniska ledningssystem. Under våren 2010 har de dessutom utvärderat och utvecklat sin metodik rörande systemledning, vilket medfört ett aktivt arbete för att uppgradera sitt ledningssystem. Detta arbete har i sin tur mynnat ut i den aktuella upphandlingen.

Upphandlingen omfattar främst lösningar för att stödja talkommunikation i det operativa arbetet vilket innebär både bärbara och fordonsburna mobilstationer till de olika enheterna. Men, även lösningar för datatjänster, programmering, applikationsutveckling och service ingår.

Totalt sett är upphandlingen den enskilt största för en räddningstjänst i Sverige, hittills.

After careful consideration the Rescue Services of Greater Gothenburg chose Celab Communications AB* and Motorola Solutions as supplier of their RAKEL** equipment.

The Rescue Services of Greater Gothenburg is a municipal collaboration between the Gothenburg, Mölndal, Kungsbacka, Härryda, Partille and Lerum municipalities. Overall they are responsible for the safety of hundreds of thousands of people in and around Gothenburg.

The Rescue Services of Greater Gothenburg has since the beginning of 2007 evaluated RAKEL with regard to the system's ability to supplement the organizations technical management system. During the spring of 2010, they have also assessed and developed their methodology regarding operational management, which has led to active efforts to upgrade their management system. This work has in turn resulted in the current contract.

The tender mainly covers solutions to support voice communications in the operational work, which includes both portable and mobile terminals to the various units. However, the contract also includes solutions for data transfer, programming, application development and maintenance.

Overall, it´s the largest single contract for a fire department in Sweden, so far.
